- Works in any wide bowl you already own — no vessel needed
Description
Two elephants moulded to float, for the urli bowl or a wide dish of water. The elephant is the auspicious figure at an Indian threshold, so this is the piece people reach for when the lotus feels too expected. Sold as a pair because a single one looks stranded in a bowl.

Burn & care
Trim the wick to 5 mm before every burn. This is the single thing that most affects how your candle performs — an untrimmed wick smokes, mushrooms and burns through wax far faster.
First burn: let it run 2–3 hours until the melt pool reaches the edge. Soy wax has a memory; if the first burn tunnels, every burn after it will tunnel.
In Indian summers: keep candles out of direct sunlight and away from a hot windowsill. Soy softens above roughly 35°C. If a piece softens in transit it re-firms in a cool room within a couple of hours.
Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Where should I put the Elephant Urli Pack of 2?
Entrance · puja space · dining table. A pair of elephants, floating.
Is the Elephant Urli Pack of 2 a good gift?
It is bought most often for Diwali candles, housewarming gifts. Add a gift note free at checkout — we print it on a card, or write it by hand in ink at no extra cost. Gift parcels never include a price or invoice.
How do I use an urli candle?
Fill the urli two-thirds with water, float the candles on the surface and light them. Each float burns 8–10 hours. Urlis are traditionally placed at an entrance or in a puja space during Diwali and weddings.
Do the floating candles come with the urli?
Yes — the floats are included. You can re-float replacements in the same vessel afterwards, so the urli itself is a keepsake rather than a single-use item.
Do you deliver across India?
Yes, we ship pan-India. Orders dispatch in 2–4 working days and typically arrive within 4–7 days depending on the pincode. Shipping is free on orders over ₹499.
Can I send this as a gift with a message?
Yes. Add a gift note free at checkout and we write it by hand on a card, packed with the candle. We never include a price or invoice in a gift order.
Are your candles vegan and IFRA-certified?
Yes to both. The wax is 100% plant-based soya with no beeswax or animal-derived additives, and every fragrance oil we use is IFRA-certified for safe use in candles.
